Founded in 2019 by Roanna Reyes, Studio Arteco was born from a career that has never fit neatly into one box.
With over 20 years of experience spanning architecture, project management, capital planning, facilities and asset management, and construction coordination, Roanna has spent her career doing far more than imagining spaces. She's been responsible for helping make them functional, operational, and ready for the people who depend on them.
From Corporate Boardrooms to High-Security Facilities
Our founder's professional journey spans industries where projects aren't simply about appearances — they're about operations, accountability, and getting things right.
At the Calgary Police Service, Roanna progressed through leadership roles in workplace planning, development planning, and capital assets management. Her work involved complex renovations, specialized operational facilities, high-security relocations, and projects where security, confidentiality, and uninterrupted operations were essential. From specialized police units to public-facing facilities, she helped coordinate projects requiring careful planning, multiple stakeholders, and precise execution.
At Trellis Society, a Calgary-based non-profit organization, she served as Director of Facilities and Asset Management, overseeing a portfolio of over 20 facilities. Her responsibilities extended across capital improvements, building operations, asset management, safety, and strategic planning — balancing limited resources with the needs of the communities those facilities serve.
In the corporate oil and gas sector, Roanna worked with Pembina Pipeline Corporation, supporting workplace planning, office developments, relocations, and facility improvements across Canada and the United States.
Her career also includes leadership in university facilities management at Ateneo de Manila University, where she coordinated campus operations, capital improvements, maintenance, and construction activities in a complex institutional environment.
And before all of that? Years in architectural planning and construction delivery, working alongside clients, consultants, engineers, and contractors to turn ambitious concepts into workable realities.

With experience overseeing multimillion-dollar capital investments, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and navigating complex projects, Roanna brings a strategic perspective that goes well beyond architecture.

Roanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Cum Laude, from the University of Santo Tomas, and is a Facility Management Professional (FMP) through the International Facility Management Association.
But credentials only tell part of the story.
